Education Programs

Employment Assistance Packet
To qualify for Adult Employment Assistance you must:
1. Possess a High School Diploma or the equivalent (GED)
2. Be unemployed or demonstrate financial need.
3. Not have received previous Adult Employment Assistance from the Bureau of Indian Affairs or the Timbisha Shoshone Tribe.
4. Maintain a full-time employee status and provide proof of employment within two weeks of assistance being provided.
5. Be determined to seek work and become employed if your selected opportunity is construction, union work, or laborer’s work.
Higher Education Assistance Packet
To qualify for Higher Education Assistance you must:
1. Possess a High School Diploma or the equivalent (GED)
2. Be unemployed and demonstrate financial need.
3. Not have received previous Higher Education Assistance from the Bureau of Indian Affairs or the Timbisha Shoshone Tribe.
4. Maintain a full-time student status in an approved College course of study and maintain a 2.0 grade point average (GPA).
5. Present a completed Application for Federal Student Aid and show registration or acceptance letter from your selected school.

Job Placement/Training Assistance Request: Fill out this letter to request financial assistance

Vocational Training Assistance Packet
To qualify for Vocation Training Assistance you must:
1. Possess a High School Diploma or the equivalent (GED.)
2. Be unemployed or demonstrate financial and vocational need.
3. Not have received previous Adult Vocational Training assistance from the Bureau of Indian Affairs or the Timbisha Shoshone Tribe.
4. Maintain a full-time student status in an approved Vocational course of study and maintain a 2.0 grade point average (GPA) until the
    course is completed.
5. Be determined to complete the Adult Vocational Training program, and show your determination to obtain employment upon completion
    of the training by providing copies of applications for employment prior to completion.
